"Angels of the Harbor" Tokyo trip: Chatting with Leave a Nest about innovation and the future

Tokyo, February 20, 2025 - A group of enthusiastic investors from Taiwan's "Harbor Angel Investment Society" came to Tokyo and knocked on the door of Leave a Nest Group's headquarters. This trip is not just a simple visit, but brings the warmth and curiosity of Taiwan, and wants to talk to Japanese friends about the future of deep technology. Thank you Leave a Nest for the warm hospitality. We felt your sincerity and this exchange was more humane.

Three startup stories that sparked our interest

As soon as we entered the door, Leave a Nest couldn't wait to introduce us to their three deeptech startup partners:

  1. ICOMA, Inc.: The small team working on electric vehicles makes something so light and smart that you can’t help but want to try it out in the city.
  2. Scheme Verge, Inc.: A group of people who love to think use data to draw what the future city will look like. Just listening to them makes you feel that life will get better.
  3. Liberaware Co., Ltd.: He is an expert in drone operation and is very pragmatic in helping factories and the environment solve big problems.

Our Taiwan "Harbor Angels" eyes lit up when we heard this. These teams are not only cool, but can really change lives. I couldn't help but chat a few more words on the spot, thinking about how to incorporate Taiwan's resources and create new ideas together.

The specialty of Harbor Angels: investment and companionship

This time, we not only came to watch the fun, but also brought some "Taiwanese-style" experiences to share. "Harbor Angels" has helped many startups in Taiwan and is particularly good at helping them sort out their equity so that "angel" investors are willing to pay. We also talked about the recent fundraising event held in Taiwan, which was very lively, like a big party, bringing together startups and investors, and sparks flew. As the two sides chatted, many ideas for cooperation emerged.

Taiwan was their old friend

Leave a Nest also chatted with us and talked about their "TECH PLANTER" project. When this project first started in 2014, Taiwan was one of the first partners and worked together until 2017, helping many startups gain a foothold. Although they are having a great time in Southeast Asia now, it can be heard that Taiwan is still special in their hearts. We also couldn’t help but think that maybe we could rekindle our old relationship someday.

Starting from Taiwan, dreams have no limits

For the "Harbor Angels", this trip to Tokyo is an opportunity to make friends with Taiwanese enthusiasm. We feel that Leave a Nest's intention to incubate new startups is in line with our direction of supporting dreams. In the future, it would be exciting to combine Taiwan’s vitality with the support of angel investors and do something big with them. Starting from Taiwan, we can let the world see our advantages.

Sparks between friends

On this day, we chatted like friends. "Harbor Angels" and Leave a Nest dream about the future of deep technology together, and they feel particularly in tune with each other. We believe that as long as Taiwan's enthusiasm and Japan's creativity work together, one day we will be able to light up a bigger stage. This journey isn't over yet.
